During your first appointment at Parkridge, you will be asked to complete a client intake form and health history. It is helpful if you know the first day of your last period. Before your STD appointment, you should not have sex, use tampons, or douche for 3 days. Appointments will include a routine check of your vital signs, as well as a pelvic exam. We encourage you to become an active partner in your health care: ask questions, discuss issues and take part in the decisions about your treatment.
Please plan to arrive on time to fill out paperwork. Typically, the first appointment will take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. You will be scheduled to return the following week to get your test results as no results are given by phone. This follow up appointment will take approximately 30 minutes.
